Day 1: KUALA LUMPUR – LABU SENTRAL JETTY – TAMAN NEGARA (D)
You will be met in your hotel lobby in the city centre between 0630hrs to 0700hrs and transfer to meeting point for your transfer to Labu Sentral jetty. At 1130hrs, board a motorized longboat to Kuala Tahan, the headquarters of Taman Negara. Enjoy your 2hrs boat journey passing by local villages and lush tropical rainforest to the National Park, Taman Negara. Spot kingfishers, hornbills, monkeys, monitor lizards or water buffaloes along the river. Upon arrival at the park, soak in the jungle atmosphere surrounding the Resort. Register with the National Park and Wildlife Department after check-in.
At 2030hrs meet your guide at the Resort’s reception for a brief orientation introduction. Enjoy a night jungle walk looking out for nocturnal plants and insects amidst the chorus of the rainforest. Do note however, sighting of wildlife in the tropical forest due to its density, is a bonus.
Day 2: TAMAN NEGARA (B, L, D)
After breakfast, enjoy a 1½ hour trek up Teresek Hill and be rewarded with a magnificent view of the tropical rainforest at the top. On a clear day, you can see Mount Tahan, the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. Continue your adventure with a canopy walkway (closed on Friday), built 40 meters above the ground and 530 meters in length. Experience the rainforest from a different perspective, as you get closer to the top of the trees!
This afternoon, take boat ride to the cataracts of Lata Berkoh enjoying the splendid pristine jungle scenery along the way. Swim, relax or read amidst the serene atmosphere. Lunch and dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: TAMAN NEGARA – KUALA TAHAN – CAMERON HIGHLANDS (B)
Breakfast at the resort. At 1000hrs, take 2minute boat ride across the river. Meet with your driver at Kuala Tahan and thereafter depart Taman Negara to Cameron Highlands, one of the most popular highland destinations in Malaysia. The overland journey takes approximately 4-5hours and it will be an interesting journey passing by small towns and scenic views of the rainforests.
Cameron Highlands is located 1,542m above sea level and is noted for its tea plantations and cool temperature. Since the discovery of the Cameron Highlands by William Cameron in 1885, the highlands have not only been transformed into temperate farms, but they have also become a popular destination for local and foreign holidaymakers.
Free at leisure upon arrival for you to enjoy the cool and refreshing environment of the Highlands.
Day 4: CAMERON HIGHLANDS: FULLDAY HIGHLANDS DISCOVERY (B)
The journey begins with a short stop at the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation which is one of the largest plantations in Southeast Asia before driving up to the highest peak of Cameron Highlands. (Mount Brinchang is located at height of 6666 feet above sea level). An interpretive trek into Mossy Forest will reveal some of the exotic montage floras such as carnivorous Pitcher Plant, wild Ginger, primitive Ferns and wild Orchids. Moreover, you can learn some basic forest survival techniques and other native plants from our experience guide. ** In the event of Mount Brinchang is not accessible, the nature walk will be replaced with Coral or Arcadia Trail, or other trails that available.
Cruise down the hill to view the most scenic tea plantation, the Sungai Palas Boh estate. Learn the art of tea making in the factory. Enjoy picking fresh strawberries for a small fee. Continue to the vegetable and flower fields & local market, cactus point, butterfly garden, time tunnel gallery and Buddhist Temple before return to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure or join optional tour.
Day 5: CAMERON HIGHLANDS – KUALA LUMPUR or PENANG (B)
Check-out after breakfast and at 1000hrs, return to Kuala Lumpur. Drop-off at any hotel in Kuala Lumpur city center or at the Island in Penang in the North. Tour Ends.
